I am passionate about women’s rights and campaigning to reduce the stigma around mental health. I am a member of my local Women’s Group, work regularly for a women’s refuge and provide pro bono life coaching support too to women fleeing domestic violence and abuse.
Between 2014 and 2016 I ran an ecotherapy social enterprise called Wild Goose Wellbeing supporting over 300 beneficiaries for free. I founded Wild Goose Wellbeing to work with nature to help people feel better, using nature as therapy and inspiration for wellbeing. Wild Goose Wellbeing ran a variety of outdoor events throughout Yorkshire and used the profits to run free ecotherapy programmes for people who are referred with mental health problems.
Whilst we closed the doors in December 2016 social enterprise, nature as therapy and women’s mental health is still very much part of the work I do.
